Mr. Matthew Cichero is registered with most health insurance companies. However, regulations and policy limitations vary between insurance companies.

It is advisable if you are going to claim your consultation and surgical fees from one of these companies that you check prior to the appointment/surgery that you are covered and whether there will be any shortfalls.

Procedures involving multiple codes are calculated according to prescribed formulae. For more information about individual procedure fees, please contact us.

Shortfalls and excesses vary between companies and are routinely the responsibility of the patient.

In addition, you may want to check whether you require a referral letter from your General Practitioner or specialist.

When to pay

All fees are to be paid on the day of your consultation, including patients with medical insurance unless a pre-authorisation number is provided prior to the consultation. A receipt will be issued to allow you to re-claim this from your insurer. Although payment is covered by the insurance company, you are responsible for all costs incurred. Payment is accepted by cash or BACS transfer.

Cancellation Policy

South West Foot Surgery operates a cancellation policy. Our policy is similar to many other medical clinics and we ask all patients kindly to adhere to it.

Should you wish to cancel or reschedule an appointment we simply ask you to give a minimum of 24 hours notice for our shorter 15 to 30 minute appointments and 48 hours notice for our longer appointments such as our biomechanical assessments and nail surgery appointments. If this minimum is not adhered to, we reserve the right to charge the full treatment cost of the appointment.

We are aware that from time to time individual circumstances dictate that an appointment will be missed or less than the 24 hours notice will be given. On such occasions we can be lenient but frequent missed appointments can be very disruptive to the smooth running of the clinic and can also be inconvenient to other patients that require an appointment slot.
